Fantastic lessons! My playing has improved quite a bit since I started these lessons a year ago. Great follow-up of Tu Djaial, the jazz blues course, and the minor swing course—the ones I’ve been working on pretty hard for the past few months. The results are really great. I would recommend this course to anyone.
Yaakov’s teaching method is clear and concise. This course is essential for anyone that wants to get to the heart of gypsy rhythm-even if you already can play other guitar styles. Yaakov is an excellent teacher who really knows his craft. His teaching took be back to the basics with “sweep picking” and it’s transforming everything else I play on guitar. The course is well put together and easy to follow. I really appreciate the video lessons paired up with the PDF files. Buy one of Yakov’s courses, its money well spent!
Pure magic – I now hear the triads all over Django’s playing and realize how simply beautiful they are. They’re great landmarks for getting around the fret-board and I just can’t help visualizing them while playing arpeggios, solos and melodies – all the time. This package thoroughly demystifies solo playing and it’s so much fun learning in the context of songs and having the tracks to play along with!
This course is amazing. I can’t believe how much I’ve learned by learning this one song. It’s almost as if Django wrote this as a training tool. So many gypsy jazz techniques are covered here. Yaakov teaches in a clear and concise way, and I highly recommend this for players who have been studying GJ for awhile and for players who are new to the genre. Either way you’ll improve your playing AND your knowledge of gypsy jazz techniques. Fabulous course Yaakov!
You’re getting 6-12 months worth of private lessons that you can re-watch at any time. All of Yaakov’s courses are very well thought out and explained. They are dripping in practical music theory presented in an accessible way .If you want to really enjoy playing guitar and are willing to practice, this guy lays out a great road map at an unbelievable value.
I’ve got several courses and they are all really good. Now I just need 3 years of vacation time.
Invaluable for anybody that struggles with improvisation! This a fantastic course for anybody that struggles with improvisation. A real eye-opener that makes you see the fret-board in a new way (at least for me) and recognize the harmony within each chord. I highly recommend this to any intermediate to advanced players. Although the information here is invaluable.
